What Are Quilters Blogging About Today?

This week, the amaryllis opened fully with its second bloom. The last flower wasn’t completely open before the first one was fading.

They get white streaks in the petals as they fade.

The orchid made more progress.

Later, it is almost fully open. I do love these flowers with their pristine white petals and interesting center markings.

The dogwoods are in full flower, lovely white blooms against verdant green.

Yesterday's post about Gregory finishing up his Star Wars quilt was only accompanied by a few photographs. There was no shortage of them, choosing which ones to post was the hardest. Gregory is high energy and taking breaks, frequently, was part of the strategy to get everything done. At one point I happened to look up and realized that there was a standoff occurring on the cutting table! I

It was an extraordinary morning just yesterday, with an abundance of wildlife in the early morning fog.  I didn’t get photos of the five deer that were grazing in the meadow, as they went into the forest before the camera could boot up.  Fog is a frequent morning visitor here, and I love how it delineates the layers of hills across the valley and the mountain ridge in the distance.  Photo taken from our veranda.
